This week I began to look into blogger and try understand how it works, adjusting my account to my taste. I started my blogger off with adding my brief and preliminary task to my home page. The task was for me to create a flat pan and magazine cover for a college magazine.

Coming to the end of October I began looking into the analysis of magazine front covers, as my knowledge grew wider I started doing my own annotations of magazine front covers and posted mine onto my blogger account in the beginning of November. By the end of this week i would have added couple more annotations of magazines to show my research and a flat pan of my contents page for my college magazine.

7th November 2013,
Yesterday i started making a questionnaire to gain knowledge on what my target audience would prefer on my magazine cover to make it most suitable for them to enjoy. I made my questionnaire on 'Survey Monkey', a site which allows you to make up questions and it would present it as a survey format, earlier i had put up my questionnaire onto my blogger account.

13th November 2013,

In today's media lesson i am going to focus on analyzing each one of my results from my magazine questionnaire. Answering why i have chosen that specific question, the results from that question and how its going to help me produce my own magazine. In today's media lesson i am going to focus on analyzing each one of my results from my magazine questionnaire. Monday 25th November 2013,
On Friday last week i collected a few volunteers to answer a couple of my questions, this took place in my schools cafe therefore the people in my videos are sixth form students aged 16-17. The videos are of me asking the questions in the background as the camera is facing the volunteer as they answer the questions. I am now viewing the videos and editing them, i believe that i was successful with my findings, the questions i asked were as the following; "what genre of music do you prefer?" "would you prefer a male or a female to feature as the cover image?" "how much are you willing to pay for a music magazine?" "what are you expecting to find in the magazine?".

A little note, although i am blogging my work i haven't posted the skills i learned at the beginning of the course. The skills i learnt were for example photo shopping someones figure, turning the skinny into curvy and the editing behind making your own creation of a magazine cover look much more realistic.

Thursday 18th December 2013,
Today i borrowed the schools professional camera's to try explore different shot types, experimenting with angle types and what instruments i can use. I managed to take a couple of shots in which the model playing the role of the artist is playing the piano.

Friday 20th December 2013,
Today I've just re looked at the shots i took yesterday and i'm picking out the reasonable good ones as my test shots and experimenting with Photoshop to improve the picture, i'll be uploading these under the name of 'Test Shot's'

Tuesday, 31st December 2013,
Since Friday I've been busy creating and completing flat pans for the planning stage, so far I've completed flat pans for the front cover, contents page and double spreadsheet. Although i haven't found a way to upload these online i would like to make it clear that its done and annotated. I've also spent my Christmas break annotating the magazine contents and double spreads for the magazine front covers i annotated at the beginning.

Since beginning of January 2014,
I've been teaching my self to use Scribd, this allowed me to upload a document in a clearer format. As you can see on my blogger I've re uploaded my survey annotations using scribd because beforehand all the question/ answer annotations were all separated out. Just to let you know these annotations were completed weeks ago but i just wanted to re upload them in a clearer format. Meanwhile i have been adding in depth annotations for my planning flat pans.

Monday, 6th January 2014,
I have completed all my planning flat pans for my planning section for my magazine and would shortly be scanned onto my desktop. Meanwhile i am transforming my annotations for the existing magazines onto scribd for clearer reading and format.

Thursday 16th January 2014,
In today's media lesson i focused on doing my first draft for contents page and double spread spread sheet, using Photoshop to create the template. I have used couple of my test shots into it, exploring different fonts for my text. When i have finished all 3 of my final drafts i will ask for feedback off my peers to then improve my draft to make a better final piece.

Wednesday 29th January 2014,
I have taken new images for my magazine front cover, exploring the different uses of style and posing. Capturing a image which is most suited for my magazine type. I have also used video recording to video people in my sixth form to evaluate my current contents page and double spread sheet, i used my phone to record them and then edited it on premier, bringing to two videos together to make one, i used both a boy and girl to give a representation of both genders.

Thursday 30th January 2014,
Today i have been using Photoshop to edit the picture i took yesterday, using my editing skills to bring the image onto a black background, i will upload little demos and screenshots to show my journey of getting my front cover to the final product. The font types Photoshop provides is very restricting, therefore i have chosen to use font space on the internet to create a style which i can then copy onto my cover page.

Monday 3rd- Friday 7th February 2014,
I have different tools that i can show my progress on, using videos to visually show how i have achieved some aspects of my magazine. This week i have been focused of taking video's and using Premier to edit them. The final product of the videos will soon be put on my blogger page.

Monday 10th February 2014,
Today i have been focusing on re creating my contents page, making changes to the color code and text format. This is due to a change of cover page, i had completely changed the style of my cover due to finding new inspirations from a R&B/SOUL magazine 'VIBE'. This is down to me getting the critical criticism from my media teacher.

Tuesday 11th-18th February 2014,
This week i have just been focusing on getting everything onto my blogger, trying to complete my evaluation questions and thinking of creative ways to present my answers. So far i've been making videos, prezi's.

Wednesday 19-23 February 2014,
Throughout these couple of days i've been focusing on completing my evaluation, researching into different types of media institues. I'm trying to get everything onto mu blogger, such as my videos and prezi's.

Thursday 27th February 2014,
I'm just getting all my evaluation questions done and just sorting everything out on blogger.

In one of my media lessons last week i decided to use Photoshop and produce a piece of work to show my gaining in knowledge of using the editing tools. The image above use to be a normal portrait of Kendall Jenner which is a model, i turned the ordinary image into a painting by using the tools available to me on Photoshop.

Using my photo shopping skills that i learnt in one off my previous A Level media lessons i changed Kylie Jenner's figure, if you look closely around her her stomach you can see that I've given Kylie a waist making her more curvier. I have also added some colour to her face. The edited version in the top image, i used liquify to achieve this and also decreased the brightness.
